Los Feliz’s contemporary-Mexican restaurant Encanto offers party goers a dance party with decorations and a DJ from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. on New Year’s Eve. The classic menu offers whole branzino butterflied and de-boned, and rubbed in toasted chili-citrus flavors, thyme and mole verde. The sherry-marinated skirt steak is dry-aged for 45 days and prepared medium rare before being served with smashed and fried fingerling potatoes and salsa macha. Sides include Rancho Gordo frijoles made with burnt black garlic puree and fermented Fresno chile sauce, and Mexican street corn drizzled with balsamic and served with a manchego dip. Stay from 10 p.m.- 2 a.m. and dance to music by a DJ. Guests will receive a glass of complimentary champagne at midnight.
